30 Weeks

30 weeks on Christmas Eve

How far along: 30 weeks. I am into the 3rd trimester and I can't believe we are only 10 weeks away from meeting our little guy!

Baby's size: 15 inches long and 3 lbs. I can tell how big he is getting when he kicks and moves at the same time but on opposite sides of my belly. His movements are getting more and more obvious and most of the time you can see my belly move from the outside.

Sleep: I have been sleeping pretty well, but it's hard to sleep in different places. Michael gave me a sound machine for Christmas and it has really helped me sleep better throughout the night and in the mornings.

Weight: 16 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes. I received some new PJs for Christmas that are much more comfortable!

Food cravings: Nothing really. We have been eating tons of yummy food in the last month with visits from both sides of our family!

Food aversions: None

Symptoms I have: Back pain and some Braxton Hicks.

Doctor’s Appointment: Next appointment is a week from yesterday. I go every other week now and I am starting to have appointments with the other doctors in the practice so I can meet all of them in case they end up delivering my baby.

Movement: He is quiet during the day, and really active in the mornings and at night. As soon as I am still the little guy starts his workout s and practices his karate moves :)

Gender: BOY! and we can't wait to meet him!

Best moment this week: Spending time with all of our family members.

Michael's gift to the baby and I but the sound machine has already come in handy!

New camera and video camera for Christmas! We are all set and ready for our little guy's big debut!

Repking Family Christmas

We drove to St. Louis from Denver early Sunday morning so that we could make it before Michael's parents got home from the airport from their trip to TX. On Monday, everyone prepared for Christmas and we went out to celebrate Shirley's birthday with an awesome dinner at Moonlight. They are known for their fried chicken and it was delicious! Then we went to the 10:00pm Christmas eve service. Tuesday morning we all woke up and had a late breakfast and then opened presents! It was a wonderful first Christmas for me with the Repkings and fun to get experience their family traditions! We will be here till New Year's Eve, so I'm sure I will have a lot more pictures to share!

Beautiful Christmas tree.

Browning Family Christmas

The week before Christmas, my side of the family made the long trip to Denver from Houston on the 14th. I picked Sarah and her boyfriend Bryan up from the airport around 3pm that day and Michael, my mom and Dad all got to our house around 4pm. We headed to Frisco, CO which is 5 miles from Copper Mountain Ski Resort and only about 2 hours from where we live. We had two hotel rooms in Frisco which ended up being pretty perfect for the three days that we stayed there. After boarding Beau at a boarder over Thanksgiving Break, he developed something called "happy tail". Unfortunately for everyone involved it has not made for a happy situation. Beau has a hurt spot on the end of his tail that won't seem to heal and we have to keep it wrapped. It was somewhat difficult to deal with while we were in a hotel, but luckily my mom was incredibly helpful and went with me to exercise him, helped me wash him and wrap and re-wrap his tail every day...Here is Beau in his cone of shame :(

Beau LOVED the snow!

We were very fortunate that there was a beautiful walking trail right behind our hotel.
We met the guys and Sarah for lunch at Copper Mtn. and Michael's beard was frozen!

The skiers getting all their gear ready.

Michael was a little worn out.

The whole group before we ate dinner on the mountain at Incline.

On Monday afternoon, we all drove back to Denver to spend the rest of the week at our place. On Wednesday night we celebrated Ben's 30th birthday by going out to Little India, the best Indian food in Denver. It was delicious!

Ben and his celebratory drink.

The food was amazing!

After dinner we exchanged gifts. Papaw was enjoying taking pictures with his phone.

Fanelle made all of the guys grilling aprons out of Pa Paw's old jeans! She is so creative and talented :)

Sarah was cold!

Ben's pumpkin pie for his birthday.

Beau loves having all the attention.

The Saturday before Michael and I headed to St. Louis and Mom, Dad and Ben headed to Santa Fe, we went for a hike.

It was a gorgeous day. The temperature was 52 and there was still a ton of snow.

We had such a wonderful time with my family! The week that they were in CO went by way too fast. Michael and I appreciate that they all made the long drive and trip out to see us and to spend time with us before our little guy arrives! We can't wait to see them all again and for them to come back and visit in the Spring!

27 Weeks

How far along: 27 weeks. I am in the beginning of the 3rd trimester and I can't believe we are only 3 months away from meeting our little guy!

Baby's size: 15 inches long and  2 lbs. I can't believe how long he is! I can tell though when he kicks on opposite sides of my belly.

Sleep: A bad cough and cold are causing me to have some restless nights.

Weight: 14 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Some maternity some regular clothes. Just trying to keep warm in all the cold days and snow we are having!

Food cravings: Nothing really

Food aversions: Some days I'm starving some days I'm not hungry at all. Must be the growth spurts the little man is having.

Symptoms I have: Back pain, but most days my back doesn't hurt until the evenings. Some days I have pretty bad heartburn but Tums really helps.

Doctor’s Appointment: Next appointment is a week from tomorrow. I go every other week now and I am starting to have appointments with the other doctors in the practice so I can meet all of them in case they end up delivering my baby.

Movement: He has been pretty quiet the last couple of days during the day, but mostly because I have been so busy moving around. As soon as I am still the little guy starts his workout :)

Belly Button: not a whole lot of change yet.

Gender: BOY!

Best moment this week: The weekend before last, Michael and I went on a long hike because it was so gorgeous outside. It may be our last hike as two, as the weather gets colder and colder. We also went to REI and Babies R us to check out the stroller selection. We have decided on a BOB jogging stroller. I can't wait to get it and start running again after the baby is born!

25 Weeks

I'm a little late on posting an update and on posting. I'm currently 26 weeks but I guess I'll switch to odd weeks now.

How far along: 25 weeks (in this picture)

Baby's size: 13.5 inches long and 1.46 lbs. He is definitely growing and I feel like my belly is getting bigger and bigger every day.

Sleep: Getting great sleep!

Weight: 12 lbs. Thanks to all the delicious food I ate over the break...

Maternity Clothes: Some maternity some regular clothes. I am so thankful for leggings and long sweaters!

Food cravings: I'm kind of tired of eating, but aren't we all after Thanksgiving?

Food aversions: None

Symptoms I have: Growing pains :)

Doctor’s Appointment: Next appointment is a week from last Wednesday. I have lots of questions for the Dr. about random things. This is the appointment I have to do my gestational diabetes test. Not looking forward to drinking the juice.

Movement: He is getting so strong! We can actually see him moving from the outside! My favorite times of day are right before bed time lying in bed feeling him move and early in the morning when Michael is able to feel him :)

Belly Button: Innie, but it is starting to look very strange.

Gender: BOY!

Best Moment: When Sarah felt him move (Nov. 9th) and then my mom felt him move on (Nov. 11).

Thanksgiving 2012

This Thanksgiving was a busy one filled with tons of family, amazing food and great memories! I was incredibly lucky to be able to take an extended trip to TX so that I could attend my Nana's 80th birthday party and then stay in Kingwood until after Thanksgiving. It was hard to be away from my husband and dog child for so long!

I flew in to Houston and my mom picked me up from the airport. We made our way to Hico, TX to celebrate Nana's 80th birthday and her sister's birthday. We celebrated with my great aunt's family (thank you Noel for hosting us!). It was so wonderful to see family that I haven't seen in a long time and to meet some of the newer and younger cousins that I had not met yet.

Eva is 94!

Nana is 80!

After a weekend in Hico, Mom and I made our way back to Kingwood and we stopped by Woody's to pick up some apricot preserves, apple butter, and some amazing jerky (for Michael). The week before Thanksgiving, mom and I went to 5 zumba classes and I loved it! The zumba classes and lifting weights really helped me keep active over the break. I was also able to go on several long walks with Megan. It was so good to catch up with her!

On Sunday, Sarah came home and Ben and his friend Heather drove up to Kingwood to have dinner with the family. We had a wondeful time meeting Heather and hanging out by the fire! One of my favorite things to do in the fall is to sit around a fire and share stories and memories!

Ben's awesome fire!

Complete with some yummy s'mores!

The Monday before Thanksgiving, I met up with all of my high school friends at Megan's house for a Mexican night! It was wonderful to see all of the girls and to catch up with them on what's going on in their lives! There are so many changes happening in our group of friends and I am so proud of every single one of them :)

On Wednesday morning, I drove downtown to pick up Michael from the airport. I was beyond excited to see him! We had a great lunch with Sarah and Bryan before the left for Louisiana. Thursday morning and early afternoon was spent cooking and preparing for Thanksgiving dinner!

Mom decided to show up with her Turkey hat on!

Our bellies were full!

Friday, all the guys helped Keesey and Sandra move in to their new house. It is wonderful to have family that will do anything for you and Michael was such a great help to everyone. The little girls came over to help mom and I decorate the house for Christmas. Friday evening, Sarah and Bryan came back from Louisiana and it was great to see them one last time before they headed back to College Station. Saturday, mom, dad, Michael and I decided to make a trip to Galveston. We had an amazing lunch at Casey's and then we walked along the beach and took some pictures to use for our Christmas card. The pictures turned out great and I'm working on sending all of our cards out.

It was a gorgeous fall day!

Sunday we just hung out around the house and Monday we ran some errands and had some yummy Indian food in the Woodlands. Michael was such a great sport to go shopping with all the girls. It was the best Thanksgiving yet and we had such a great time with all of the family!
